Feasibility Service
Before you commit — a short, focused piece of work to test what's possible on your site, and what it might cost.
About This Service
Most projects start with uncertainty: is this site big enough? Will planning let us build what we want? What will it actually cost? A feasibility study is a short, defined piece of work that answers these questions before you commit significant money.
We typically deliver a feasibility study in 2–4 weeks. The deliverables are: site analysis, preliminary design options (usually 2–3 schemes), indicative massing and floor areas, planning risk assessment, and a preliminary budget cost range.
Start a ConversationWhat's Involved
Every project is different, but the principles are the same. Here's what makes this service work.
01
Constraints, opportunities, light, views, access, levels, planning designations, trees, neighbours — everything that will shape the design.
02
Typically 2–3 distinct design approaches, each at concept level — enough to judge the overall character and scale of what's achievable.
03
An informed opinion on what the planning authority is likely to approve, with reference to local policy and recent decisions on similar applications.
04
A preliminary cost range based on recent comparable projects — not a priced estimate, but a realistic indication of what the project might cost.
Typical Brief
Plot purchase feasibility · Extension options study · New build site appraisal · Planning risk assessment · Project viability review
Every commission is shaped by its specific site, brief and client. The list above is indicative — if your project doesn't fit neatly, we'd still like to hear about it.

Step 01
Initial conversation, site visit, brief development and a clear written proposal. You know exactly what you're getting and what it will cost before we begin.
Step 02
Concept design, planning applications, technical design and specification. We work closely with you at every stage — design is a conversation, not a delivery.
Step 03
Tender, contract administration and construction. We stay involved on site, protecting the design and solving problems as they arise until final handover.
