A considered, personal service — end to end.
A good loft conversion delivers a full-size double bedroom with an en-suite, proper head height throughout, and natural light — not a cramped guest room with an awkward dormer. We design lofts as proper rooms from the outset.
From initial measured survey and concept through planning, building regulations and construction, we handle the full process. Loft conversions typically take 4–8 months on site.

Every project is different, but the principles are the same. Here's what makes this service work.

Dormers and roof alterations
We design dormers that sit naturally with the roof line — front, rear, wraparound, mansard or hipped-to-gable. Each approach has specific planning and structural implications.

Permitted development
Many lofts can be converted under PD rights, avoiding the need for planning. We advise on what's possible and where planning will be required.

Stair and circulation
The stair is often the hardest part. We think carefully about how the new stair lands in the existing house to minimise disruption and maximise usable space.

Insulation and performance
New lofts are a chance to improve the whole house's thermal performance. We design for comfort and low running costs.

Tender, contract administration and construction. We stay involved on site, protecting the design and solving problems as they arise until final handover.
