Accessibility statement.
Woods Architects wants everyone to be able to use this website. This statement describes how the site is built, what we know can be improved, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.
What we aim for
We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In practice, the site is built with:
- Semantic HTML — proper headings, landmarks and link text — so screen readers can navigate the structure.
- Text alternatives on meaningful images.
- A layout that works at mobile, tablet and desktop sizes, and when text is enlarged.
- Forms with visible labels, and keyboard-operable navigation and controls.
Known limitations
We have not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit, so we do not claim full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Areas we know may fall short:
- Some project pages use short background videos. These are decorative, muted and have no dialogue, so no captions are provided; each has a static image alternative.
- Our downloadable guides are PDF documents, and some may not be fully accessible to screen readers. If you need the content of any guide in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
- Some architectural imagery is presented large; on slower connections pages may take longer to load.

Our buildings, too
Accessibility is part of how we design buildings, not just this website. If you'd like to visit either studio and have access requirements, tell us when arranging the visit and we'll make sure it works for you.
